Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Fertilizer Technician to join our landscape management team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the health and beauty of our clients' turf and landscapes through precise, safe applications of fertilizers, pesticides, and other soil amendments. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and ensures high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
Application & Treatment:
Apply fertilizers, liquid and granular weed control, herbicides, and insecticides to residential or commercial lawns and landscapes according to schedule and company standards.
Diagnostics:
Inspect landscapes for signs of nutrient deficiencies, weed infestations, insects, and diseases to recommend/apply appropriate treatments.
Equipment Maintenance:
Calibrate, operate, and maintain equipment including spreaders, backpack sprayers, blowers, and trucks.
Safety & Compliance:
Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and local/state pesticide regulations for mixing, applying, and storing chemicals.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate daily logs of applications, site conditions, and material usage.
Customer Service:
Act as a professional representative of the company when on-site, answering customer questions, and reporting issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or pesticide application is preferred but NOT required . We will train as necessary.
Licensing:
Must possess (or be able to obtain) a state-mandated Commercial Applicator License (e.g. - Pesticide Technician or Category 3B/3A).
Driver's License:
A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift over 50 lbs., work outdoors in various weather conditions, and spend the day on your feet.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail, basic math skills for mixing chemicals, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
