Lawn & Turf Care Manager

Lawn Care & Turf Manager Pay:

$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Job description:

WHITMORES INC.

- We are looking for a Lawn Care & Turf Specialist to support our growing maintenance department. This position is In-Person at our East Hampton location.

Responsibilities :

• Provide lawn analysis and quotes to existing and potential customers
• Supervise and schedule the lawn care crews daily and forecast weekly work schedules.
• Maintain proper soil conditions and moisture levels
• Monitor, diagnose and treat insects, weeds, and diseases
• Calibrate sprayers and spreaders
• Knowledge of organic fertilizer and organic practices including compositing, compost tea and organic soil amendments
• Apply fertilizers and weed and insect control products to lawns according to safety procedures and label instructions
• Perform best cultural practices including slice seeding, aeration, composting, over-seeding, and major turf care renovations
• Communicate with clients regarding work performed during site visits and overall property maintenance
• Complete accurate record-keeping and reporting daily
• Drive a company vehicle to multiple properties throughout the day to perform routine checks, water management adjustments, scouting for lawn and overall property imperfections.
• Work as a member of the Whitmores team and collaborate with all departments.

Qualifications:

• Experience in lawn care and maintenance
• Experience in handling chemicals and a solid understanding of the safe use of pesticides
• Commercial Pesticide Applicator/Technicians License or ability to obtain within one year
• Degree in Horticulture, Turfgrass Management, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture or a related field is preferred but not required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Must be able to repeatedly lift 25lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and be able to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
• Driving license with a clean record
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus Training is available and there are many opportunities for job growth within the Company.

$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
