Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our outdoor groundskeeping team. Responsibilities Perform mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing to keep lawns and landscapes tidy and well-manicured using power tools and hand tools. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge cutters, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Assist with landscape installation projects including planting, pruning, mulching, and hardscape maintenance to enhance property aesthetics. Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify leaks or malfunctions; perform basic repairs or coordinate with specialists as needed. Identify various plants, weeds, pests, and diseases; apply appropriate horticultural practices or pesticides following safety protocols. Adhere strictly to safety procedures during all tasks to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including equipment maintenance logs and landscape condition reports. Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience or background in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred but not required. Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping equipment is highly desirable. Strong understanding of landscape maintenance techniques, plant identification, lawn care practices, and pesticide management. Ability to operate groundskeeping machinery safely while following all safety protocols. Knowledge of horticulture principles and gardening best practices to support healthy plant growth. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately in outdoor environments. Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
