NY State Certified Pesticide Applicator / Technician About the

Role:

North Country Snow and Ice Management is seeking a New York State Certified Pesticide Applicator or Technician to join our growing landscape maintenance team. This hybrid position combines licensed pesticide application with hands-on general landscape maintenance across commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to adhering to safety standards while delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers in full compliance with NYS DEC regulations, with a primary focus on safe and effective treatment practices Identify pest, weed, and plant health issues in turf, trees, and shrubs, and determine appropriate treatment plans Maintain detailed and accurate application records, ensuring full regulatory compliance and proper reporting Monitor treatment results and adjust applications as needed to ensure effectiveness and environmental responsibility Assist with seasonal landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and seasonal cleanups Operate and maintain application and landscaping equipment, including sprayers, spreaders, and power tools Follow all company safety standards, label instructions, and industry best practices

• Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding services, findings, and recommendations

Requirements:

• Valid New York State Pesticide Technician License (required)
• Strong understanding of pesticide safety, application methods, and environmental practices
• Experience in landscape maintenance and equipment operation
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Valid NY State driver's license with reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work throughout the day Why Join Us?
