Lawn and Landscape Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawn and Landscape Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through a variety of landscaping, lawn care, and hardscape projects. Duties Perform lawn mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilization to ensure healthy and attractive turf. Maintain landscape features including planting beds, shrubs, trees, and flower installations with precision and care. Operate hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and power tools including trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws safely and efficiently. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks like aeration, overseeding, mulching, and pruning to promote plant health. Perform seasonal snow plowing when necessary. Assist with hardscape projects including the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other construction elements. Use heavy machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping or construction projects under supervision. Provide tree care services including trimming, pruning, removal, and health assessments to maintain safety and aesthetics. Support gardening activities by planting new greenery and maintaining existing landscapes according to specifications. Conduct routine equipment maintenance to ensure all tools and machinery operate safely and effectively. Qualifications Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools and power equipment used in landscaping. Previous experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance or related outdoor work preferred. Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant health care and soil management. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to the use of power tools and heavy machinery. Excellent physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Effective communication skills for teamwork and client interactions are desirable. $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
