220341 Position Overview We are currently looking to add a dynamic UVM Technician to our passionate team of environmental professionals. Job Duties Work with Oklahoma Gas & Electric to address its forestry needs Inspect utility rights of way and identify vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations Perform vegetation treatment activities including TGR applications and basal work to ensure full compliance along ROWs Safely operate herbicide spray rig and 5 gallon backpack sprayer Foliar Application Collect and enter data on handheld devices, follow maps and use GPS navigation Communicate with landowners regarding work on or near their property Coordinate with project managers, vegetation crews and OG&E foresters Some weekday overnight travel required
Qualifications Education and Qualifications:
An individual must be able to perform each essential job duty consistently and satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Oklahoma Core Applicator's License (ROW preferred) Knowledge of safety requirements associated with herbicide application Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing Experience in preparing correspondence, documenting and maintaining official records using a variety of software applications Clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle Ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather
