Job Description

The Lawn Care Professional delivers high-quality lawn and landscape maintenance services safely and efficiently. This role is hands-on in the field and is responsible for excellent results, professional customer interaction, and keeping equipment in ready-to-run condition to minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities Lawn and landscape maintenance Mow, edge, trim, and blow off turf and hard surfaces to company standards. Perform seasonal services such as spring and fall cleanups, bed maintenance, mulching, and leaf removal. Prune shrubs and small trees as assigned for plant health and appearance. Equipment and truck care Operate and transport mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, and hand tools safely. Complete daily equipment checks, keep machines clean, and report issues promptly. Follow the team's end-of-day routine (example: fuel top-off, blow off debris, inspect blades/belts, check oil, report repairs needed). Customer service and professionalism Represent the company well on every property (uniform, respectful communication, clean work). Communicate with customers on-site as directed and relay requests/concerns to the office or crew leader. Safety and teamwork Work safely around traffic, pedestrians, pets, and job site hazards. Use required PPE, follow safe lifting and loading practices, and participate in daily safety discussions. Support teammates, maintain a positive attitude, and help the crew hit daily production goals. Qualifications Prior lawn care/landscape maintenance experience preferred (we will train the right person). Ability to operate common lawn equipment. Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred. Ability to follow directions, work independently, and stay on task. Physical Requirements and Work Conditions Work outdoors in heat, cold, and varying weather conditions. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly. Walk/stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions. Performance Expectations (How Success Is Measured) Quality of cut and property appearance (clean edges, thorough blow-off, consistent results). Productivity (completing assigned route/jobs on time without sacrificing quality). Safety (no preventable incidents, consistent PPE use, safe equipment handling). Equipment readiness (daily checks completed, issues reported early, minimal downtime caused by neglect). Customer experience (professional conduct, fewer complaints, good feedback).
