We are seeking a Lead Lawn Care Technician who can work independently, lead by example, and help maintain our reputation for quality, professionalism, and exceptional customer service. Position Summary The Lead Lawn Care Technician is responsible for performing lawn maintenance, landscape services, equipment operation, and basic field repairs while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. This position requires an individual who can work independently, manage daily tasks efficiently, and occasionally supervise or train crew members when needed. ResponsibilitiesLawn Maintenance Perform mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, and general lawn care services Maintain high-quality standards on residential and commercial properties Identify and communicate property concerns, irrigation issues, turf problems, or safety hazards Complete assigned routes efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Equipment Operation & Maintenance Safely operate commercial lawn maintenance equipment including: Commercial zero-turn mowers Walk-behind mowers String trimmers Edgers Backpack blowers Hedge trimmers Chainsaws (when applicable) Perform daily inspections of equipment and vehicles Troubleshoot and complete minor field repairs to minimize downtime Report major mechanical issues promptly Leadership & Teamwork Work independently with minimal supervision Assist with training new employees Lead small crews when assigned Promote a positive, productive work environment Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices Customer Service Interact professionally with customers and property managers Represent Tru Cut Landscapes in a positive manner at all times Address customer questions courteously and professionally Maintain clean job sites and professional appearance standards QualificationsRequired Experience operating lawn care or landscape equipment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly Strong attention to detail Dependable attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and willingness to learn Preferred Leadership or crew management experience Equipment troubleshooting and repair experience Landscape installation experience Basic knowledge of irrigation Trailer backing and towing experience Work Environment This is an outdoor position requiring work in a variety of weather conditions, including: Extreme Texas heat Cold temperatures Wind Rain Dusty environments Applicants must be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing manual labor throughout the workday.
