Webster, TX Job Details Full-time $20.29 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment operation Weed control High school diploma or GED Driver's License Pest Control License Full Job Description Help maintain the grounds and all district facilities in a pest-free condition by implementing strategies that rely on the best combination of pest management tactics that are compatible with human health and environmental protection. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD. Qualifications Education/Certification/Licensure High School Diploma or GED Texas Department of Agriculture license for pest control, weed control, lawn, ornamental, and termite treatments Texas driver's license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance Special Knowledge/Skills Effective communication, interpersonal skills Demonstrated knowledge of ground maintenance and equipment Knowledge of structural pest control laws and regulations for IPM schools Knowledge of the use and operation of all equipment used in grounds' maintenance Texas Department of Agriculture technician or certified applicator's license for category of treatment preferred Experience Requirement determined by supervisor Major Responsibilities and Duties Determine the need for spraying, fertilizing, and pruning; ensure that all pesticides used on school district property are in compliance with the school district's policies. Develops strategies that rely on the best combination of pest management tactics that are compatible with human health and environmental protection and IPM principles. Provide proper identification of pest problems. Develop and maintain monitoring programs to determine when pests are present or when pest problems are severe enough to justify corrective action and use of non-chemical management strategies. Maintain files of pesticide application records, pesticide labels, and Material Safety Data sheets. Inform school district administrators and other personnel about IPM requirements, including training requirements, pre-notification and posting requirements, sanitation, and pesticide storage. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal). Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
