Job Description
Ranger Services, Inc is looking for a self-disciplined, personable, professional Lawn Care Technician to join our team.
Lawn Care Technician responsibilities include:
- Diagnosis and treatment of various turf related diseases and conditions
- Fertilization
- Weed control
- Surveying landscapes and making recommendations based on best practices for plant needs
- Accurate record keeping and documentation/paperwork
- Sales and customer service / account management
NOTE:
This position does NOT include mowing responsibilities Applicant needs (or has the ability to obtain) a 3.0 pesticide certification for the state of Wisconsin General requirements:- A solid foundation of turf and turf related conditions (identification, diagnostic evaluation, and care/maintenance techniques) is required
- Knowledge of plants/trees (identification, diagnostic evaluation, and planting/care/maintenance techniques) is preferred
- A 2-year or 4-year degree in a related field and/or at least 2 years of experience
- Ability to establish good communication and resolve customer concerns
- Ability to work confidently as part of a team or independently
- Good time-management skills
- Ability to be flexible with changes in job scheduling
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Wisconsin state pesticide applicator 3.
