Job Description

Ranger Services, Inc is looking for a self-disciplined, personable, professional Lawn Care Technician to join our team.
Lawn Care Technician responsibilities include:
  • Diagnosis and treatment of various turf related diseases and conditions
  • Fertilization
  • Weed control
  • Surveying landscapes and making recommendations based on best practices for plant needs
  • Accurate record keeping and documentation/paperwork
  • Sales and customer service / account management
NOTE:
This position does NOT include mowing responsibilities Applicant needs (or has the ability to obtain) a 3.0 pesticide certification for the state of Wisconsin General requirements:
  • A solid foundation of turf and turf related conditions (identification, diagnostic evaluation, and care/maintenance techniques) is required
  • Knowledge of plants/trees (identification, diagnostic evaluation, and planting/care/maintenance techniques) is preferred
  • A 2-year or 4-year degree in a related field and/or at least 2 years of experience
  • Ability to establish good communication and resolve customer concerns
  • Ability to work confidently as part of a team or independently
  • Good time-management skills
  • Ability to be flexible with changes in job scheduling
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Wisconsin state pesticide applicator 3.
0 certification (preferred)
