The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong interest in plants. Prior experience in the industry either in nursery or landscape is preferred. A basic knowledge of plants is required. As a Nursery Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, helping them find the right products for their landscaping and garden needs, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Duties Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide knowledgeable recommendations. Assist customers with plant and/or product selections, answering questions about care, features, benefits, and usage. Manage cash handling processes accurately, including processing transactions and maintaining the cash register. Price, stock and organize plants and related merchandise ensuring displays are attractive and well-stocked. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail space to enhance the shopping experience. Participate in the care and upkeep of plants which may include but is not limited to: weeding, watering, potting, pricing, labeling, organizing. Collaborate with team members to achieve store objectives and promote a positive work environment. Experience Previous experience in customer service is required. An interest in and passion for plants is required. Familiarity with plant care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is a plus. The ability to multitask and self-start is critical to success in this role. Basic knowledge of retail math as well as the ability to utilize a Point of Sale system. Requirements and Considerations Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. It is important to be able to work outside in all weather in the Florida climate.
