  • Full-time Do you have nursery experience, strong plant knowledge, and a passion for leading a successful sales team?
We are hiring a full-time Shadehouse Lead to help manage and grow our Shadehouse department at Casaplanta Garden Center. This position is ideal for someone with experience working with interior plants, shadehouse plants, nursery sales, horticulture, and team leadership . The Shadehouse Lead will help guide the shadehouse team, improve customer experience, increase sales, and train staff on plant knowledge and upselling techniques.
Applicant Requirements:
Must speak English Must have nursery or garden center experience Must have experience with shadehouse plants and interior plants Must have horticulture or strong plant care knowledge Must have retail sales experience Must have leadership experience or experience guiding a team Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday Must be comfortable speaking with customers and recommending plants, pottery, soil, fertilizers, and plant care products Must be able to train and coach staff on plant knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques Must be organized, responsible, and able to lead by example Must be able to identify plant needs, including watering, cleaning, pruning, pest issues, and merchandising needs Must be able to help maintain a clean, full, organized, and shoppable Shadehouse department Job duties include: Leading the Shadehouse team during assigned shifts Training staff on shadehouse plants, interior plants, plant care, and customer service Developing new sales tactics and upselling strategies for the Shadehouse team Teaching staff how to recommend add-on products such as pottery, soil, fertilizer, moss poles, plant stands, and plant care items Assisting customers with plant selections, care questions, and product recommendations Monitoring plant quality, watering needs, pest issues, and overall department presentation Keeping the Shadehouse clean, organized, stocked, and visually appealing Helping create displays and merchandising strategies to increase sales Communicating with management about inventory needs, best sellers, slow-moving products, and department opportunities Supporting team members and helping lead the department to meet sales and customer service goals We are looking forward to your application to join our amazing Casaplanta team!
