Part-Time (Highly focused; starting at 12 hours per week )
Compensation:
Starting at $30/hour (with potential for growth). This position can be bundled with one of our other open positions. About Little River Cooperative Little River Cooperative is South Florida's premier edible gardening authority. Our mission is to empower individuals through deep connections with food and ecology. We design, build, and maintain beautiful, interactive, and functional kitchen gardens that blend seamlessly with South Florida's unique, rugged beauty. With over 15 years of experience spanning residential, educational, and hospitality settings, we prioritize biodiversity and ecological balance. Our designs incorporate native, drought-tolerant, and edible plants to support local wildlife, foster exploration, and inspire a deep connection between people and nature. Position Overview We are seeking an organized, strategic, and highly efficient Maintenance Team Lead to oversee our field operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned agricultural professional or project coordinator who excels at scheduling, workflow logistics, team leadership, and quality control. Operating on a targeted schedule of approximately 12 hours per week, you will ensure our maintenance routes run smoothly, client expectations are exceeded, and field gardeners are fully supported.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Scheduling:
Manage the master scheduling system for all weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly client maintenance visits, optimizing routes for field teams.
Team Leadership & Oversight:
Supervise and mentor field gardeners (Leads and Assistants). Conduct field check-ins to audit garden aesthetics, ensure plant health and generally maintain company quality standards.
Client & Account Management:
Serve as an escalation point for client inquiries, troubleshooting horticultural issues, and maintaining exceptionally high client retention and satisfaction.
Data & Digital Systems:
Review digital job logs, progress photos, and tracking applications submitted by field teams to ensure precise records and seamless communication.

Schedule Requirements Weekly Commitment:
Focused 12 hours per week, with a mix of remote administrative tasks and on-site field/headquarters check-ins.
Team Synchronization:
Lead or actively participate in our mandatory 1-hour virtual team meeting every Monday.
Flexibility:
Ability to structure hours dynamically across the week to match operational, client, and installation demands.
Minimum Job Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in project management, team leadership, account management, or agricultural operations. Robust knowledge of South Florida horticulture or edible gardening is highly preferred.
Leadership Track Record:
Proven experience managing people, delegating tasks, and organizing logistical systems.
Technology:
High proficiency with Google Workspace (G Suite), spreadsheet management, and job-tracking/scheduling mobile applications.
Driving Record:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
The Ideal Candidate Possesses:
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships professionally and authoritatively. Strong problem-solving abilities, especially regarding scheduling conflicts, material sourcing, and plant health troubleshooting. A balance of high-level project management capability and a meticulous eye for fine detail. Previous experience running or organizing small business operations or landscaping/farming teams.
