Overview Join our vibrant nursery team at Goldner Walsh garden and home as a Plant Nursery Worker and Sales Associate, where your passion for plants and customer service will thrive! In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for caring for a diverse range of plants, assisting customers with their gardening needs, and providing expert advice on gardening and plant care . Your enthusiasm and knowledge will help create beautiful outdoor spaces while ensuring a positive shopping experience for all visitors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in horticulture, retail sales, and customer engagement in a lively, supportive environment. Duties Care for plants by watering, pruning, fertilizing, and maintaining healthy growth to ensure high-quality stock Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and landscape materials based on their needs and preferences Provide expert advice on landscape maintenance, plant care and gardening techniques Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately handling cash transactions and processing payments efficiently Restock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the nursery is clean, organized, and visually appealing Skills Strong knowledge of horticulture practices including plant knowledge and plant care Excellent communication skills to educate customers and promote products confidently Retail math proficiency for accurate cash handling, pricing, and inventory management Experience with POS systems and cash register operations in a retail setting Ability to perform stocking, merchandising, and organizational tasks efficiently Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude and problem-solving skills This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in gardening while delivering exceptional service.
