Job Description
Position Overview CultuR Cannabis is seeking an experienced and motivated Flower Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations within our flowering production area. This role sits at the heart of our cultivation program — responsible for guiding cannabis plants through the flowering stage and driving the quality, consistency, and yield of every harvest. Keeping the team productive, the facility in top condition, and every process in full compliance with state regulations and company SOPs are all central expectations of this position. The Flower Supervisor provides direct operational support to the Grow Manager and takes ownership of hands-on cultivation tasks alongside team scheduling, training, and performance oversight. This is a working supervisor role that demands both deep horticultural knowledge and the organizational ability to keep a high-output flowering operation running on schedule. The right candidate leads by example, communicates clearly, and takes genuine pride in the quality and consistency of the finished product. What You'll Do Plant Care & Flower Operations Oversee all flowering-stage plant care, ensuring healthy development, robust bud structure, and optimal trichome production from canopy transition through harvest-ready maturity. Manage the transition of plants from vegetative to flowering stage, coordinating timing with the Veg Supervisor and production calendar to maintain a consistent, uninterrupted cultivation pipeline. Execute and supervise defoliation, lollipopping, and canopy management tasks to maximize light penetration, airflow, and energy distribution throughout the flowering canopy. Oversee trellising and plant support throughout the flowering cycle, ensuring structural integrity as plants develop weight and density. Manage all watering and fertigation activities in the flower zone — adjusting nutrient inputs and feed schedules to meet the evolving demands of plants at each flowering stage. Mix and prepare fertilizer batches according to SOPs, verifying EC, pH, and nutrient ratios before application and maintaining accurate batch logs for compliance. Monitor plants closely for signs of stress, deficiency, toxicity, or environmental imbalance — diagnosing issues quickly and adjusting inputs or conditions accordingly. Conduct systematic scouting of all flower rooms to detect early signs of pests, pathogens, or disease — documenting findings and coordinating with the IPM team for timely intervention. Apply pesticides as needed in accordance with label requirements, state regulations, and facility SOPs, maintaining complete and accurate application records. Monitor and manage lighting schedules, photoperiod transitions, and environmental conditions within flower rooms, escalating system issues to the Grow Manager promptly. Coordinate harvest readiness assessments, working with the Post Harvest Manager to schedule and execute harvests that align with peak plant maturity and facility capacity. Facility & Compliance Maintain cleanliness and organization of all flower rooms and work areas, holding the team to strict sanitation standards that protect both plant health and regulatory compliance. Perform regular facility walkthroughs to inspect plant health, environmental conditions, equipment functionality, and overall operational readiness. Monitor facility systems and infrastructure within the flowering department — flagging maintenance needs, coordinating repairs, and keeping the Grow Manager informed of any issues. Ensure full and ongoing compliance with all Federal, State, and company regulations, policies, and procedures at all times. Complete, maintain, and audit all production and maintenance logs with accuracy — data input into compliance software must be timely, thorough, and error-free. Follow and contribute to the production calendar, keeping flowering workflows on schedule and communicating proactively when timelines are at risk. Track plant inventory and batching data within compliance tracking systems, ensuring seed-to-sale records are current and accurate throughout the flowering cycle. Team Leadership & Administration Build and manage staff schedules for the flower team, balancing operational coverage with individual availability and leave requests. Provide coverage for the Facility Manager on days off, stepping into a broader supervisory role across departments as needed. Onboard and train new team members on all flower-related processes, SOPs, and compliance requirements — building a knowledgeable, high-performing crew. Conduct performance appraisals and deliver clear, constructive feedback to support employee development and maintain high team standards. Manage employee relations matters with professionalism and consistency, escalating to the Grow Manager as appropriate. Report issues, progress updates, and operational concerns to the Grow Manager in a timely and organized manner. Take on additional responsibilities as the role and facility operations evolve.
