Job Description

Laurel Group is looking to hire an Assistant Landscape Project Manager to support the role in the planning, coordination, and management of landscape projects island wide. They will assist the Project Manager in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the design specifications. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-sufficient individual who will take on daily tasks with our Project Management team. The Assistant Landscape Project Manager role is designed for someone who is looking to develop their skills in landscape project management while supporting the Project Manager in the successful execution of landscape projects. Key
  • Support the Project Manager in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Help in coordinating project logistics, such as scheduling site visits, meetings, and deliveries.
  • Assist in tracking project milestones and deadlines to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a clean driver's license and able to operate a vehicle.
  • A degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience (1-3 years) in landscape construction or project management is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of landscape design, horticultural, and construction methods.
  • Highly motivated, self-sufficient individual who can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Team Support:
  • Assist in overseeing the daily activities of the landscape construction team.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide support in managing resources, tools, and materials required for the project.
Client Communication:
  • Maintain communication with clients under the direction of the landscape project manager.
  • Help prepare progress reports and updates for clients.
  • Assist in managing client requests and addressing concerns during project execution.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Assist in maintaining project documentation, including contracts, change orders, invoices, and permits.
  • Help track project expenses and update the budget.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project status, including any issues or delays.
Quality Control and Inspections:
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that work is being completed to the required standards.
  • Assist in ensuring that all work complies with design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the project manager for resolution.
Procurement and Resource Management:
  • Assist in sourcing and ordering materials, plants, and equipment.
  • Help track inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure that resources are available and on-site when required.
Scheduling and Time Management:
  • Support the creation and updating of project schedules.
  • Monitor progress against the schedule and help identify any potential delays.
  • Help adjust schedules and resources to accommodate any changes.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
