This is a full-time position offering excellent benefits and competitive compensation based on experience. Key Responsibilities:
Control pest populations through scouting and monitoring activities Anticipate pest pressure and implement preventative strategies Oversee and assist with pesticide applications and related tasks Supervise and train workers in safe practices around chemicals and equipment hazards Operate and assist in the maintenance of tractors, sprayers, and pest management equipment Ensure compliance with the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Maintain accurate records related to pesticide applications and activities Ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements according to government agencies and Company policies
Requirements:
2-year technical degree in a Science or related field OR equivalent experience in the nursery industry Minimum of 1 year of experience in an industry requiring pesticide applications Valid Pesticide License or ability to obtain within one month of employment Strong organizational and proactive work habits Ability to safely work around chemicals and equipment
