Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nursery Assistant Manager to help lead and support our vibrant horticultural team. In this role, you will oversee daily nursery operations, ensure the healthy growth of plants, and maintain an engaging outdoor environment. Your expertise in gardening, landscaping, and plant care will drive the success of our nursery, inspiring both staff and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend hands-on horticultural skills with leadership responsibilities in a lively, outdoor setting. Duties Supervise daily nursery activities, including plant cultivation, watering, pruning, and pest control Assist with irrigation setup and maintenance to ensure optimal watering systems for diverse plant varieties Support growing operations by monitoring plant health, identifying species, and implementing care plans Operate and maintain gardening tools, mechanical equipment, and greenhouse systems safely and efficiently Lead efforts in landscaping projects, lawn care, and outdoor maintenance to create an inviting environment Train and mentor team members on horticultural practices, plant identification, and safe equipment use Manage inventory of plants, supplies, and tools while ensuring proper record-keeping for all activities Experience Proven experience in horticulture or gardening with a strong understanding of plant care techniques Hands-on experience with irrigation systems, greenhouse management, and landscaping projects Knowledge of farming practices or agricultural principles is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge related to garden tools, irrigation equipment, and outdoor machinery Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during planting or maintenance tasks Familiarity with plant identification and basic math skills for measurements and calculations Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a nursery or outdoor environment is a plus Join us to cultivate a thriving nursery environment where your passion for plants meets leadership! Pay:
$44,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
