Job Description
Catamount's Aerial Adventure Park Monitors are the eyes and ears of the park. Their primary responsibility is to provide assistance and guidance to guests while communicating directly and clearly. The interaction between guests and park monitors support the goal that guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Greet and communicate with guests with a friendly disposition and professional demeanor Harness guests as well as deliver instructional safety briefings and gear demonstrations Provide regular presentations to groups throughout the day Ensure guests, with instruction, are able to access age/skill appropriate courses Observe and assist guests as they maneuver throughout the park Provide guests with general park information and direction as needed Check, process, and maintain park equipment Assist with daily safety course inspections, park grounds maintenance and course maintenance as needed Maintain the highest quality standards of performance Successfully complete the orientation and training period Perform assists for guests on the courses as needed The following levels dictate the type of assistance that can be performed by each monitor: Monitors Level 1 must provide verbal assists Monitors Level 2 able to perform physical and standard assists Monitors Level 2T able to perform tandem assists Other additional duties as assigned. Qualifications 18+ years of age CPR/First Aid certification Pass criminal history and sexual offender registry background checks Be able to lift 50 pounds and comfortable working at heights up to 50 feet preferred Regular weekend availability; ideally will also have flexible weekday availability and be able to commit to the full season Comfortable with public speaking and possess strong communication skills with a kind, patient approach to working with people Reliable with strong work ethics, personal integrity, extreme dedication to safety, and attention to detail Passion for working outdoors and comfortable working in all weather conditions Able to quickly and competently learn new skill sets both in training and on the job Able to pass drug test because this is a drug-free workplace Climbing experience preferred, but not required Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job in all weather conditions, must be able to: Walk on uneven terrain for 1/2 mile Stand for an extended period of time Frequently reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; handle and grasp tools and equipment Spend a significant amount of time looking up and have good depth perception
