Seasonal Resort Ranger

Pine Acres Camping Resort in Oakham, MA is looking for Park Rangers to join their team for the 2023 camping season! This position is a seasonal role June-October with some flexibility in schedule.

Position Summary:

The Park Ranger is responsible for making sure all park rules are being followed to ensure the safety of the campground guests, employees and property. This position is well suited for diplomatic individuals who can deal with a wide variety of situations.

Park Ranger Job Duties & Tasks Include:

Customer service/care - communicate with guests and other individuals to answer questions, explain information, and address concerns Work closely with the Maintenance Managers to communicate and facilitate any repairs discovered while working in the park Monitor property continually to ensure all policy and procedures are being followed Troubleshoot guest and employee issues In the event of an emergency - communicate with off-site 911 or rescue personnel and escort to the scene Maintain a complete log of all happenings (Park Ranger Logs) Complete Incident Reports Deliver propane tanks and wood to sites Opening and closing facilities following the Daily Task List Assist with guest check-in and escorting guests to their sites Enforce quiet hours in a diplomatic and courteous way Afternoon Shift (approx. 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and Night Shift (approx. 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.) available. Weekend and Holiday shifts are required. All Pine Acres employees are responsible for: Adhering to Pine Acres policies and procedures listed in the Employee Manual Consistently punching in and out using a time clock Being friendly and helpful towards co-workers Having general knowledge of the resort and the surrounding areas Promoting resort amenities and activities Interacting with guests in a friendly and upbeat manner Presenting yourself in a neat and professional way; wearing a clean staff shirt and name tag Minimum qualifications: 2 years minimum in a customer service industry- police/military background a plus!

Primary hiring criteria:

the ability to enforce park rules and regulations in a tactful and professional manner.

Secondary hiring criteria:

this role involves substantial guest interactions, so you MUST be interested in interacting with the public. High school degree or GED Strong work ethic and be a self starter Ability to lift and carry up to 50-pounds around safely Preferred qualifications: Experience with camping industry or law enforcement background Ability to speak multiple languages is an asset Resort Background Pine Acres is a full-service, family camping resort. It has been twice awarded the "National Large Park of the Year Award" and continues to be rated in the top one percent (1%) of camping facilities nationwide. Our team continues to enhance the property with new developments geared toward satisfying the needs of future camping families. We do this by exceeding our guest's expectations during the prime-season (May through October) and upgrading our facilities and processes during the off-season (November through April).
