(ON CALL) - TROUBH
ICE ARENA ON CALL EVENT SERVICES STAFF - TROUBH ICE ARENA
Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department Troubh Ice Arena (TIA) opened its doors in 1985 and is located in the Portland Sports Complex at 225 Park Avenue. We are an indoor skating facility equipped with a National Hockey League (NHL) regulation-size ice surface, five locker rooms and seating for over 650 spectators. Programs at the arena run year-round and provide skating opportunities for all to enjoy at one of Portland's finest recreation facilities. We are proud to offer public skating, skating and hockey skills group lessons, freestyle ice, adult and youth hockey programs, high school hockey, and curling programs. The Ice Arena operates 7 days a week - flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays . This position includes all duties typically associated with an ice arena such as resurfacing, skate sharpening, general maintenance and cleaning.
Required Skills & Experience:
Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills. Must possess Basic First Aid and CPR certifications or have the ability to obtain within the first six months of employment. Must have a valid State of Maine Class C driver's license and must have and maintain a good driving record; and positive reference check.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Prior cash handling experience preferred. Prior ice arena experience preferred. Applications accepted until positions are filled. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
