Job Description

Under general supervision, this seasonal position assists with afternoon and evening operations, park monitoring, public safety presence, facility cleanliness, and closing procedures for County parks and recreation facilities. The Evening Shift Park Attendant helps maintain a safe and orderly environment during peak attendance hours and performs nightly facility closing and security duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors park activity during peak operational hours to help ensure safe and orderly public use. Enforces park rules, operational procedures, and facility policies in a professional and courteous manner. Picks up trash and debris throughout the park, beach areas, parking lots, trails, playgrounds, and common areas. Conducts restroom inspections and restocks supplies as needed throughout the shift. Assists with monitoring rentals, pavilions, concessions, athletic activities, and special events. Provides customer service and responds to patron questions and concerns. Reports incidents, damages, suspicious activity, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to supervisors. Assists with crowd management and monitoring during high-attendance periods. Monitors beach access areas, swim areas, parking lots, and recreation amenities during evening hours. Performs facility and park closing procedures, including locking gates, buildings, restrooms, and recreational facilities. Assists with event breakdown and cleanup as assigned. Completes daily activity logs or incident reports as required. Performs related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors for extended periods. Employee may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Saturdays & Sundays 2:00 PM - 9:00
PM Seasonal:
April 1 - November 1 MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to communicate professionally with the public in high-traffic environments. Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm during busy operational periods. Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, bending, lifting, and trash removal. Must possess reliable transportation. Previous parks, recreation, event operations, custodial, or customer service experience preferred.
