Job Description

Under general supervision, this seasonal position assists with the daily opening operations, cleanliness, monitoring, and public use of County parks and recreation facilities. The Morning Shift Park Attendant is responsible for preparing park facilities for daily operations, maintaining cleanliness standards, monitoring beach and recreational areas, and providing customer service to park patrons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Unlocks and opens assigned park facilities, gates, restrooms, beach access points, and recreational amenities. Conducts opening inspections of park grounds, parking areas, restrooms, pavilions, and facilities. Picks up trash and debris throughout the park, beach areas, parking lots, trails, playgrounds, and common areas. Cleans and restocks restrooms and public-use facilities as needed. Monitors Park activity and assists in maintaining a safe and family-friendly environment. Assists patrons with questions regarding park rules, rentals, amenities, and activities. Monitors beach access areas, swim areas, playgrounds, and high-use facilities during operational hours. Reports maintenance issues, vandalism, safety hazards, or incidents to supervisors. Assists with pavilion rentals, recreation activities, concessions, and event preparation as assigned. Enforces Park rules, policies, and operational procedures in a courteous and professional manner. Assists with setup of tables, chairs, trash receptacles, signage, and event equipment. Completes daily activity logs or reports as required. Performs related duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors for extended periods. Employee may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
WORK SCHEDULE
Saturdays & Sundays 8:00 AM - 2:00
PM Seasonal:
April 1 - November 1 MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to communicate professionally with the public. Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, bending, lifting, and trash removal. Must possess reliable transportation. Previous parks, recreation, custodial, or customer service experience preferred.
