A Pest Control Technician controls problems with unwanted animals and insects in residences, commercial buildings and the areas around them. Inspects buildings, identifies pests and determines pest control treatment. Provides applications of chemical pesticides and sets traps or bait. Makes minor building repairs as needed to keep pests out.
Full-time, 40 hours/week. Overtime is available but not required. About the Role Tactical Pest & Wildlife is looking for an experienced Wildlife Technician Specialist to join our team.
This role is hands-on:
you'll be trapping and removing nuisance wildlife, performing exclusion work to keep animals from coming back, and representing our company directly to customers. We're looking for someone who already knows their way around trapping and exclusion — this isn't an entry-level training position. Responsibilities Perform humane trapping and removal of nuisance wildlife (raccoons, squirrels, bats, birds, snakes, and similar species) Conduct wildlife exclusion work: sealing entry points, installing exclusion barriers, screening vents and chimneys, and related repairs Inspect properties to identify entry points, damage, and evidence of wildlife activity Set, check, and maintain traps in compliance with state and local wildlife regulations Communicate clearly and professionally with customers on-site, explaining findings and recommended services Maintain accurate, timely service and inspection records Safely operate and maintain your assigned company truck and equipment Work safely in attics, crawlspaces, on ladders/roofs, and in varying weather conditions Handle dead animal removal and related sanitation/remediation as needed Required Qualifications Proven, hands-on experience in wildlife trapping and exclusion Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening (required to operate a company vehicle) Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage a daily service route Preferred Qualifications (not required, but a plus) NWCOA (National Wildlife Control Operators Association) certification(s) Alabama Fur Bearer/Trapper license What We Offer Company truck provided for work use Competitive pay based on experience Consistent full-time schedule with overtime opportunities [
