Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Technician is responsible for inspecting, treating, and preventing pest infestations while supporting rodent monitoring services through trap checks and inspections. This role includes working in attics, crawl spaces, and exterior areas to identify pest activity and help deliver long-term protection for our customers. Technicians manage daily service routes, educate customers, and represent the company with professionalism and accountability. This position offers strong opportunities for advancement into wildlife services, exclusion work, and leadership roles. No pest control experience required — we provide paid training and licensing. Candidates with backgrounds in construction, landscaping, maintenance, HVAC, roofing, or other hands-on service industries often thrive in this role.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Success in this role is defined by the following priorities: Conduct thorough interior and exterior pest inspections Apply pest control treatments safely and according to company standards Perform rodent trap checks in attics, crawl spaces, garages, and exterior locations Reset, monitor, and document rodent traps accurately Identify rodent entry points and conducive conditions around structures Educate customers on pest prevention and sanitation practices Complete scheduled services within assigned time windows Accurately document treatments, materials used, and findings the same day Recommend recurring pest control services when appropriate Minimize callbacks through detailed inspection and service execution Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked company vehicle Follow all safety standards including ladder safety and PPE requirements Participate in team meetings, ride-alongs, and ongoing training Support wildlife operations through basic monitoring tasks when needed Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required Valid Driver's License with clean driving record required Pest Control Applicator License required (company-assisted training available) 1-2 years of pest control, construction, maintenance, landscaping, or route-based service experience preferred Rodent control experience preferred but not required Willingness to complete ongoing training and licensing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires regular physical activity in both indoor and outdoor environments. Technicians should expect standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders throughout the day. The role includes entering attics and crawl spaces and lifting equipment up to 50 pounds. Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, insulation, dust, rodent droppings, and chemical odors while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
