Crested Butte, and nearby communities. Unlike a commuting position, this technician will work locally from the Gunnison area and become the face of Penguin Pest Control for the region. This is a full-time position working 4-5 days per week , depending on seasonal demand and scheduling. Responsibilities Service residential and commercial pest control accounts throughout Gunnison County Inspect properties to identify pest issues and determine treatment plans Apply pesticides and pest management products according to label requirements and company procedures Follow all state and federal pesticide regulations Wear appropriate protective equipment and follow all company safety procedures Educate customers on pest issues, prevention, and treatment recommendations Build strong relationships through exceptional customer service Maintain accurate service records and documentation Properly handle, store, and dispose of pesticides and related materials Participate in company meetings, continuing education, and training Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Current valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Gunnison County area Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and customer service skills Stable work history Ability to complete all required licensing and technical training Comfortable working around insects, rodents, wildlife, and other pests Ability to read and understand pesticide labels written in English Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to safely perform the following duties with or without reasonable accommodation: Lift and carry up to 50 pounds Use ladders safely within manufacturer weight limits Access crawl spaces, attics, roofs, and other confined spaces Bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday Work outdoors in all types of Colorado weather Why Join Penguin?
