Job Summary:
As a K9 Handler at Platinum Pest Solutions, a pest control company specializing in multi-family and commercial properties, you will work with specially trained dogs to detect bed bugs. You will be responsible for handling, training reinforcement, and maintaining the well-being of your assigned K9 partner while ensuring accurate and efficient inspections for clients. Your role is essential in delivering high-quality pest detection services and maintaining the integrity of the K9 program.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough bed bug inspections using trained K9s in multi-family and commercial properties. Maintain the health, care, and daily well-being of the assigned K9. Reinforce training exercises to ensure peak K9 performance and accuracy. Accurately document and report inspection findings to the appropriate teams. Follow industry regulations and company protocols for K9 handling and detection services. Educate clients on inspection results and recommended next steps. Collaborate with team members to optimize service efficiency and customer satisfaction. Maintain equipment and ensure proper working conditions for inspections. Prior experience in K9 handling, scent detection, or pest control is preferred. Strong bond with animals and understanding of K9 behavior and training techniques. Ability to follow protocols and accurately assess K9 alerts. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Physical ability to handle and care for an active working dog. Willingness to travel locally and Wisconsin for inspections as needed.
