Job Description

Job Summary:
The Termite Technician is responsible for inspecting and performing conventional liquid termite treatments for residential and commercial properties. This role requires strict compliance with the state regulations, adherence to product label directions, and observance of all safety procedures and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of structures to identify termite activity, damage, and conducive conditions. Perform conventional liquid soil treatments and rodding, trenching, or drilling applications to prevent or eliminate termite infestations. Accurately mix and apply termiticides according to label directions, state regulations, and company procedures. Document all treatments, including site diagrams, chemical usage, and service records, in compliance with state reporting requirements. Communicate inspection findings, treatment plans, and post-treatment instructions clearly to customers. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and application equipment in proper working order and report maintenance issues promptly. Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Attend training sessions to maintain state certification and stay current on termite products, treatment methods, and state regulations. Represent the company professionally through punctuality, clean appearance, and courteous customer service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; experience may be considered. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. NC Structural Pest Control Registered Technician certification (or ability to obtain within 75 days of hire). Prior experience in termite control or pest management highly preferred but not required; training provided. Strong attention to detail and ability to detect early signs of termite activity. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently, manage route schedules, and deliver reliable, quality service.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and crawling under houses and in crawlspaces. Ability to dig trenches, drill through concrete, and carry hoses or application tools during treatments. Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment, tools, and materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Comfortable working in crawlspaces and/or other confined or restricted areas. Tolerance for working in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity. Must be able to wear required PPE (respirators, gloves, coveralls) for extended periods. Adequate vision and hearing to identify termite activity, operate equipment safely, and read labels and diagrams.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in residential, commercial, and occasionally construction environments. Exposure to dirt, dust, moisture, and various outdoor conditions. Work involves handling and applying termiticides; strict adherence to label directions and safety procedures is mandatory. PPE use is required and enforced per OSHA and company policy. Work may involve moderate to heavy physical labor, including digging, drilling, and handling materials.
