About us We are a small and growing, 2nd generation family pest control business out of Suffolk County, NY. We pride ourselves on being on the cutting edge of the industry and progressive in our company's goals and values. The owner is directly involved day to day and is in the field working alongside the team. Your voice and opinions are valued and will always be well considered. Barron Pest Control is looking for a full-time pest control technician as part of our growing company. This position will be servicing all types of accounts in Suffolk and Eastern Nassau County, from government to residential and commercial settings. We offer full service pest control so a wide application of knowledge of control methods and IPM will be utilized day to day dealing with different pest issues. Guaranteed 40 hours of pay per week, typical work week is Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Overtime opportunities may become available especially in busy seasons. 7A technician or applicator license is required; additional categories and other licenses (e.g., NWCO) will be considered in pay and other compensation benefits. Must have a NYS driver's license. Other benefits include paid holidays, 3 weeks PTO, a service vehicle that may be taken home nightly, a company provided smartphone, or a monthly stipend for using your own device. ```Duties```
  • Perform pest control services at customer locations, including residential and commercial properties
  • Identify and assess pest problems, determining appropriate treatment methods
  • Apply pesticides and other pest control products in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations
  • Inspect and monitor treated areas to ensure effectiveness of treatments
  • Provide recommendations to customers on pest prevention and maintenance strategies
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records of treatments performed ```Qualifications```
  • Previous experience in pest control or a related field is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pests, their habits, and effective treatment methods
  • Ability to operate power tools and hand tools used in pest control applications
  • Familiarity with lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to drive to customer locations in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
