A Pest Control Technician controls problems with unwanted animals and insects in residences, commercial buildings and the areas around them. Inspects buildings, identifies pests and determines pest control treatment. Provides applications of chemical pesticides and sets traps or bait. Makes minor building repairs as needed to keep pests out.
Mon - Fri (7:30am to 5:30pm) May be asked to work overtime or work on Saturday's sometimes. Coastal Employment is currently hiring a Field Technician on behalf of a leading pest management company serving the Greenville, SC area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working independently, interacting with customers, and providing high-quality service in a field-based environment. The Field Technician will be responsible for inspecting properties, identifying pest-related concerns, applying approved treatment solutions, and educating customers on preventative measures. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Key Responsibilities Perform residential and commercial pest inspections. Identify pest activity, entry points, and potential risk factors. Apply approved pest control treatments in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations. Maintain accurate service records, treatment reports, and customer documentation. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers. Provide excellent customer service during each service visit. Operate and maintain company-provided equipment and vehicle responsibly. Follow all federal, state, and company safety guidelines. Assist with route management and scheduling as needed. Respond professionally to customer questions and service concerns. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in pest control, field service, maintenance, landscaping, construction, or a related industry is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work independently and manage a daily service route. Strong communication and customer service skills. Comfortable working outdoors, in crawl spaces, attics, and other varying environments. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the day. Willingness to obtain any required state licensing or certifications if not already licensed.
