Job Description

Lead Wildlife & Pest Control SpecialistJob Details Schedule Full-time Typical hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Seasonal workload varies with demand. We believe in work-life balance—some days may be 6 hours, while others may be 10 hours. Occasional half-day Saturdays may be required during peak pest season (spring - fall). We're looking for an experienced professional to build and lead the wildlife division of our growing company. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing wildlife inspections, trapping, exclusion repairs, and customer communication while also assisting with residential and commercial pest control services as needed. This is an opportunity to help shape and grow an important part of Slayer Pest Control. Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include:
Inspect residential and commercial properties for pest activity. Identify pest entry points and develop effective removal strategies. Safely trap, remove, and/or relocate pests in accordance with Wisconsin laws and company policies. Work with squirrels, raccoons, bats, skunks, snakes, birds, opossums, and other nuisance wildlife. For insect control, think spiders, wasps, ants, and so forth. Perform exclusion work to permanently reduce pest entry. Complete repairs including soffit, fascia, siding, roof vents, gable vents, chimney caps, flashing, crawlspace vents, and similar exterior components. Remove and replace contaminated attic or crawlspace insulation. Safely inspect roofs, attics, crawlspaces, basements, and confined spaces. Operate ladders and power tools safely, as well as the mixing and applying of pesticides and rodenticides. Provide exceptional customer service while educating homeowners about wildlife issues and recommended solutions. Complete electronic service reports with photos and videos. Maintain a clean company vehicle, equipment, ladders, traps, and inventory. Qualifications We're looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: Wildlife removal Wildlife trapping Pest control Roofing General construction Exterior home repairs Insulation removal and replacement Animal control Preferred qualifications: Wisconsin Trapping License and Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator License (or willingness to obtain one immediately—we'll pay for it) Experience safely handling live pest removal Experience performing exclusion work and exterior repairs Comfortable working independently and making field decisions Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to identify and sell appropriate exclusion repairs High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities Additional requirements: High school diploma or equivalent At least 21 years old (insurance requirement) Valid driver's license with a good driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screen Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to safely: Work on extension ladders within manufacturer weight limits. Walk roofs of varying heights and pitches. Lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Access attics, crawlspaces, basements, and confined spaces. Operate hand tools and power tools. Work outdoors in all Wisconsin weather conditions. Wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary. Work around wildlife, pests, insects, rodents, and contaminated environments.
