This position is responsible for performing tree pruning, removals, and aerial tree care operations while working closely with crew leaders and groundsmen to safely and efficiently complete projects throughout residential, commercial, HOA, and government properties. Responsibilities Perform tree pruning and removals using industry-approved climbing techniques. Safely operate chainsaws, rigging equipment, ropes, saddles, and aerial tree care equipment. Lead and communicate effectively with groundsmen and crew members. Set up and execute rigging operations safely and efficiently. Identify hazardous tree conditions and work safely around structures, utilities, and other obstacles. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Assist with tree planting, fertilization, cabling, bracing, and other arboricultural services as needed. Conduct equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance on climbing and rigging gear. Follow ANSI, OSHA, and company safety standards at all times. Qualifications Previous tree climbing experience required. Experience with technical removals, pruning, and rigging operations. Ability to safely and efficiently climb trees using ropes and saddle. Strong knowledge of chainsaw safety and tree care practices. Valid driver's license required with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation. Ability to safely drive a manual transmission chip truck and transport crew members, equipment, and materials to and from job sites required. Ability to perform physically demanding work in Arizona weather conditions. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions in the field, and represent the company professionally. Candidates residing in the East Valley are strongly preferred, as our yard and daily crew departure point are located in the East Valley. ISA Certified Arborist or additional industry certifications are a plus. What We Offer Starting pay of $26-$32 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime opportunities.
