Location:
Based in Olathe, Colorado, with dispatch to surrounding areas and neighboring states.
Job Type:
Seasonal, full-time commitment during active fire season.
Pay Structure:
Daily rate

About the Position We're seeking hardworking, reliable Wildland Fire Mechanics to join our team for the upcoming fire season. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and the outdoors. You'll help keep firefighting equipment and vehicles in top condition while working on-site at active fire operations across the region. What You'll Do Perform maintenance and repairs on wildland fire engines, fleet vehicles, and support equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Respond quickly to mechanical issues in the field and ensure equipment reliability for fire operations. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Work and live on-site for up to two weeks at a time during deployments. What We Provide Service trucks fully equipped with up-to-date tools and technology. Clean and modern fleet
  • all service vehicles are maintained to high safety and performance standards. Camp trailers provided as needed for extended assignments. All meals prepared by an on-site kitchen
  • no need to bring your own food.
Showers and wash stations available at all camp locations. Requirements Proven experience in automotive or diesel repair (fire apparatus experience a plus). Ability to travel extensively within Colorado and neighboring states. Comfortable living and working in remote locations for up to two weeks at a time. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required). Additional work opportunity for CDL drivers. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Must be physically capable of performing work in outdoor environments. Why Join Us?
