Tree Service TechnicianClimber Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tree Service Technician- Climber to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Tree Climbing and Pruning:
Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and other climbing equipment. Perform tree pruning and trimming to remove dead or excess branches, improve tree structure, and enhance aesthetic value. Assess tree health and apply appropriate care techniques to promote growth and longevity.Tree Removal:
Safely and efficiently remove trees of various sizes and conditions, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding areas. Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, and other equipment necessary for tree removal. Conduct site clean-up and debris removal following tree removal activities.Tree Health and Maintenance:
Diagnose and treat tree diseases, pests, and other health issues. Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed. Provide clients with recommendations for tree care and maintenance.Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of oneself, team members, and the public. Maintain and inspect climbing gear, tools, and equipment regularly to ensure they are in good working condition. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for tree care and maintenance.Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide professional advice and solutions. Prepare and present estimates for tree care services. Ensure client satisfaction through high-quality service delivery. Willing to work winter snow events. This may include plowing, blowing, and shoveling.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in arboriculture or related fields preferred. Proven experience as a tree climber or in a similar role. Proficiency in tree climbing techniques and the use of rigging and climbing equipment. Strong knowledge of tree species, diseases, pests, and treatment methods. Ability to operate and maintain various tree care equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. Valid driver's license; CDL preferred. Certified arborist preferred or obtain within 1 yearWork Environment:
Outdoor work in various weather conditions. Physically demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting, and operating heavy equipment. Exposure to heights and potentially hazardous situations.Compensation:
