In this energetic role, you will utilize your climbing skills, technical knowledge, and safety expertise to perform tree care, removal, pruning, and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Safely ascend and descend trees using climbing gear and techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal operations. Operate bucket trucks and other equipment to access high branches or difficult-to-reach areas efficiently. Execute rigging procedures for tree removal or branch control, ensuring safety for team members and property. Conduct tree care activities including pruning, planting, and health assessments based on arborist best practices. Use chainsaws and other hand tools responsibly for cutting, trimming, or removing trees and branches. Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including tree condition reports and rigging plans. Skills Proficiency with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping and planning tree work projects. Experience operating bucket trucks safely and effectively in various outdoor environments. Strong knowledge of arborist rigging techniques for safe tree removal and branch management. Skilled in tree removal, pruning, trimming, and general tree care practices. Ability to operate chainsaws and other power tools with precision while adhering to safety guidelines. Familiarity with plant pruning care, landscape maintenance, lawn care, horticulture, dendrology (study of trees), and landscaping principles. Hands-on experience with outdoor work environments, demonstrating growing expertise in arboriculture or related fields.
