Position Summary The Tree Climber is responsible for performing skilled tree maintenance and removal operations. This position involves climbing trees using ropes, harnesses, and other industry-standard equipment to prune, remove, or care for trees in residential and commercial settings. You'll work alongside experienced crew members and operate the kind of high-end machinery rarely available at local companies. For the right candidate, this role offers a clear path to advance into leadership or equipment operation positions. Key Responsibilities

• Climb trees safely and efficiently to perform pruning, thinning, and removal tasks
• Operate chainsaws, hand saws, rigging equipment, and other tree care tools
• Perform aerial rescues as needed in accordance with safety standards
• Identify and assess tree health, hazards, and structural concerns
• Safely rig and lower large limbs and sections of wood to the ground
• Coordinate with the ground crew to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Maintain climbing gear and equipment
• Participate in daily safety briefings and uphold company safety standards
• Represent Bluestone Tree professionally when interacting with clients Qualifications
• 1-2 years of climbing experience in residential or commercial tree care (preferred)
• Proficiency in rope and saddle climbing techniques
• Familiarity with rigging and aerial rescue protocols
• Ability to operate chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders
• CDL or ability to obtain one is a requirement. We are a CDL training School.
• Certified Arborist is a plus
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various outdoor conditions
