Fiber OSP Tech 1 - Buffalo

The City of Buffalo is seeking a Fiber Outside Plant (OSP) Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of our growing fiber network. This hands-on position works on a variety of infrastructure including aerial and underground fiber, conduit systems and customer connections. Responsibilities include troubleshooting network issues, performing fiber splicing and testing, completing new installations, and responding to maintenance needs and service calls. This role also involves working with specialized equipment, maintaining accurate records, and interacting with customers to support and resolve service concerns. Work is performed both outdoors and in residential or commercial settings, sometimes in challenging weather conditions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
