Night shift, generally between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM Position Summary Koorsen Environmental Services is seeking a dependable, motivated, and experienced Night Field Supervisor to support and oversee night field operations. The Night Field Supervisor serves as the bridge between the Service Manager and the work being performed at night. This position provides real-time leadership, support, accountability, quality control, and communication while technicians are actively completing service work. The main objective of this role is to help ensure night services are completed correctly, safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. The Night Field Supervisor will support technicians, verify completed work, assist with large jobs, help manage call-outs, monitor job quality, and provide accurate overnight reporting to the Service Manager. This is an hourly leadership position. The Night Field Supervisor reports directly to the Service Manager and is expected to help drive accountability, technician development, customer satisfaction, job completion, safety, and revenue. Work Schedule The Night Field Supervisor's schedule will be based on nightly service activity. The shift will generally end approximately 30 minutes after the final service of the night is completed . The start time will be determined by working backward from the expected end time to create an 8-hour shift plus a 45-minute lunch. For example, if the final service is expected to be completed at 4:00 AM, the Night Field Supervisor's shift would end at approximately 4:30 AM. The schedule will remain within the normal night operations window of 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM , unless otherwise approved by management. Overtime is not guaranteed and must be approved according to company policy. The Night Field Supervisor must report to the office each night to clock in and return to the office to clock out. Key Responsibilities Night Operations Leadership Serve as the primary nighttime field contact for technicians once the scheduled shift begins Provide real-time support, direction, and accountability to night crews Help ensure scheduled work is completed correctly and efficiently Support the Service Manager by overseeing field activity during night operations Help reduce incomplete jobs, poor documentation, customer issues, and morning surprises Communicate serious issues to the Service Manager when escalation is required Job Quality and Completion Verification Verify services are being completed according to KES standards Review completed work through Teams calls with Lead Technicians Visit multiple job sites throughout the evening when possible Physically check on each crew at least once per week Review photos, documentation, sticker accuracy, and job completion status Ensure incomplete work, deficiencies, access issues, and return visit needs are properly documented Require technicians to correct incomplete or poor-quality work when appropriate Technician Support and Accountability Hold technicians accountable during active night operations Monitor technician performance, attitude, communication, documentation, safety, and professionalism Report performance issues, attendance issues, safety concerns, and policy violations to the Service Manager Provide field guidance and real-time correction when needed Participate in coaching sessions only when directed by the Service Manager Assist with technician development and training Large Jobs and Field Support Be present on large projects as assigned Lead or assist with large jobs when needed Help coordinate crews, equipment, tools, materials, and job progress Fill in when a technician calls out, when needed Help keep the night's work on track when staffing or field issues occur Deficiency Installation Support Support and verify approved deficiency installation work Ensure deficiency installations are completed properly and safely Confirm proper photos and documentation are completed Help train technicians and crews on approved deficiency installation procedures Report incomplete, incorrect, or unsafe deficiency installation work to the Service Manager Safety, Equipment, and Vehicle Oversight Reinforce company safety expectations during night operations Stop unsafe work and report safety concerns immediately Monitor proper use of PPE, tools, ladders, equipment, and chemicals Report equipment, tool, chemical, or supply issues Help ensure technician vans are clean, organized, and properly maintained Monitor technician uniform compliance and professional appearance Reporting and Communication Complete an individual service report for each completed service Complete an overall nightly report before clocking out Document job completion status, technician concerns, customer issues, safety concerns, equipment issues, deficiencies, call-outs, weather issues, and any items requiring Service Manager follow-up Escalate emergency issues immediately to the Service Manager Ensure the Service Manager has a clear understanding of what occurred overnight Authority and Limitations The Night Field Supervisor may direct, support, correct, verify, train, and document nighttime field operations. The Night Field Supervisor does not have authority to independently: Issue formal write-ups Assign points Terminate employees Suspend employees Send technicians home Approve overtime Change pay Make payroll decisions Make final HR decisions Complete or approve rebids Promise customer discounts, free service, or billing changes Override the Service Manager Formal discipline, points, write-ups, employee removal, overtime approval, payroll decisions, customer billing decisions, rebids, and final branch authority remain with the Service Manager. Emergency Escalation The Night Field Supervisor must immediately contact the Service Manager for serious issues, including: Injury Vehicle accident Property damage Customer lockout that prevents service Major customer complaint Technician refusal or abandonment Suspected impairment Unsafe condition Equipment failure preventing completion Police, fire department, or AHJ involvement Any issue that may significantly affect customer relationship, billing, safety, or compliance Required Qualifications Experience in kitchen exhaust cleaning, field service, facility service, commercial cleaning, fire/life safety, trades, or related work preferred Ability to work night shift hours Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to lead and support technicians in the field Strong communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to document issues clearly and accurately Ability to remain calm and professional during field issues Ability to follow company policies and enforce standards consistently Ability to use Microsoft Teams, email, phone, and company reporting systems Ability to work independently while following Service Manager direction Preferred Qualifications Previous Lead Technician, Supervisor, or field leadership experience Experience with kitchen exhaust systems Experience identifying deficiencies and incomplete work Experience with job reports, photos, stickers, and service documentation Experience training or coaching field employees Ability to manage multiple crews and job sites during a night shift Knowledge of safety expectations, PPE, equipment usage, and field service standards Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to perform and support field service work, including: Standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and carrying Working in commercial kitchens and rooftop environments Working around grease, water, chemicals, ladders, hoses, pressure washing equipment, and kitchen exhaust systems Driving between job sites during night hours Assisting crews when needed Working in varying weather conditions Wearing required PPE and maintaining safe work practices Performance Expectations The Night Field Supervisor is expected to: Be dependable, responsive, and professional Support technicians while holding them accountable Help ensure night work is completed correctly Improve job quality and documentation Communicate clearly with the Service Manager Escalate serious issues immediately Complete required reports accurately and on time Help develop technicians and improve crew performance Protect customer satisfaction and company standards Help drive successful night operations
