Public Utilities Technician Storm Water

Salary/Pay Rate:

$44,137.66 - $68,765.04 Annually

Open Until Filled Employment Opportunity The Orem Public Works Department is currently hiring for a Public Utility Technician in the Storm Water group. This is a full-time, benefited position responible for operating various types of heavy to light equipment specifically related to maintenance of the storm drain system, which may include operating a jetrodder/vacuum truck, dump truck, and loader, along with a variety of hand tools related to the assigned division. Technicians are also required to be on-call periodically and repond do to after-hour callouts including snow removal obligations. Qualifications Requires graduation from high school or equivalent and one year of related experience, or equivalent education or training. Ability to operate a variety of light to heavy equipment related to the assigned division. Must possess and maintain a valid Utah Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and have a good driving record. The successful candidate will be subject to random drug testing. Must pass a criminal background check. Pay and Benefits Individual starting salary will depend on qualifications, certifications, and experience. The City also provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
