Who we are We are a fast-growing residential roofing/landscaping company operating across 38 states and are looking for someone to join our technology team. Job Summary We are seeking a forward-thinking Ai specialist to lead the adoption, implementation, and optimization of technology across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who is highly curious, well-versed in artificial intelligence, and passionate about using emerging tools to improve how teams work. The Ai specialist will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve systems, automate workflows, support AI adoption, and help employees use technology more effectively in their day-to-day roles. This person should be able to bridge the gap between business needs and practical technology solutions, while keeping the company ahead of trends in AI, automation, productivity tools, and digital transformation. This role requires both technical fluency and strong communication skills. The right candidate does not need to be a software engineer, but they must be comfortable learning new tools quickly, evaluating technology, training teams, and translating complex ideas into simple, actionable solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the company's technology strategy with a focus on AI, automation, productivity, and future workplace innovation. Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology, AI tools, system integrations, and workflow automation. Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technology platforms that improve efficiency, communication, reporting, and operational execution. Support the adoption of AI tools across the company, including Microsoft Copilot, generative AI platforms, automation tools, and other emerging technologies. Work directly with department leaders and employees to understand business needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. Translate business requirements into practical technology solutions that are easy for teams to understand and use. Develop internal training, workshops, documentation, and best practices to help employees adopt new tools effectively. Stay current on emerging AI trends, workplace technology, automation platforms, and digital transformation opportunities. Partner with leadership to create scalable systems that support company growth. Improve the use of Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and related productivity applications. Help create technology governance, usage standards, and AI best practices to ensure tools are used responsibly and effectively. Support change management initiatives by helping teams transition smoothly into new systems and workflows. Track adoption, usage, and impact of technology initiatives to ensure measurable business value. Troubleshoot process gaps and recommend solutions that reduce manual work, improve visibility, and increase accountability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Technology Management, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in artificial intelligence, automation, workplace technology, systems implementation, or a related technology-focused role. Experience working in or around the technology space, with a strong understanding of how modern tools can improve business operations. Knowledge of generative AI tools, large language models, automation platforms, or emerging AI technologies through professional experience, coursework, internships, projects, or self-directed learning. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and related applications. Ability to apply AI and automation to improve employee productivity, communication, reporting, and workflow efficiency. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. Ability to work directly with employees and leaders to understand needs, define problems, and deliver practical solutions. Willingness and ability to learn new tools quickly, including Microsoft Copilot features, AI configurations, automation workflows, and best practices. Comfort facilitating or supporting training sessions, workshops, group learning, and employee enablement. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at once. Demonstrated problem-solving ability, including examples of improving processes, workflows, systems, or team efficiency. Interest in change management, technology adoption, user enablement, and future-focused business transformation. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a builder, problem-solver, and technology advocate. They are curious about the future of work, confident exploring AI tools, and able to turn ideas into practical business improvements. They should be comfortable working with leadership, supporting employees, and helping the company become more efficient, modern, and technology-enabled. This person should be proactive, organized, and able to spot opportunities before they become obvious. They should not simply manage technology; they should help the company think differently about how technology, AI, data, and automation can create a competitive advantage. Additional Technical Qualifications Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C, Bash / Unix shell, VBA, or similar languages for automation, scripting, data analysis, and workflow improvement. Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS or similar platforms for deploying, managing, and scaling AI, automation, or data solutions. Experience with big data technologies and data engineering tools, including Hadoop, Spark, Talend , and related platforms. Strong understanding of database design principles , data structures, data pipelines, and scalable information architecture. Knowledge of natural language processing / NLP applications, including language understanding, chatbot development, conversational AI, and AI-powered customer or employee support tools. Familiarity with analytics and business intelligence platforms such as Looker , Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools for visualization, reporting, and business performance tracking. Ability to connect technical systems, business data, and AI tools into practical solutions that improve decision-making, automation, and operational efficiency. Understanding of how to evaluate, test, and deploy AI-enabled tools in a business environment while considering scalability, security, user adoption, and measurable ROI.
