Aircraft Machinist

Overview We are looking for a true machinist . Not a machine operator . If you can't make parts, readdiagrams and use a manual machine to make the required part, you are not a Machinist. You are a machine operator. We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Machinist to join our team and contribute to precision manufacturing and maintenance of aircraft components. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technologies, uphold strict quality standards, and support the safety and performance of aviation equipment. Duties Must have experience with manual lathes, manual mill, cnc router, cnc laser, cnc plasma table, cnc press break and 3d printers Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure parts meet strict specifications Perform electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes for complex component fabrication Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical manuals, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models created with SolidWorks or similar software Assemble machined components using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and tooling to meet assembly standards Conduct quality inspections using precision gauges, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensional accuracy Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to lean manufacturing principles and safety protocols Must be able to adapt and learn quickly. Must be a true general machinist with knowledge of sheetmetal Requirements Proven experience in machining aircraft or aerospace components with a strong mechanical knowledge base Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, especially with Fanuc controls or similar systems Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T application, and CAD/CAM programming tools such as SolidWorks and other CAD software Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), welding techniques, and plastics injection molding processes preferred Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, tooling setup, and fixture installation for machining operations Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in manufacturing processes Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for material handling Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency Join us as an Aircraft Machinist where your expertise will directly impact the safety and reliability of aviation technology.
