Aircraft Technician Job Description Join our team as an Aircraft Technician, where you'll work on a variety of General Aviation (GA) and private jets, including some turboprop aircraft. Our bustling flight school and recent designation as a Cirrus service center make this an exciting opportunity for those passionate about aviation. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various aircraft. Conduct routine, phase, and hourly inspections. Address and correct discrepancies and pilot-reported issues. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and adherence to FAA regulations and 145 Certification standards. Essential Skills Proficiency in aircraft maintenance and mechanic work. Possession of an A&P license or specific aircraft experience. Alternatively, 3-4 years of military experience in aircraft maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Inspection Authorization (IA) is a plus. Why Work Here? The role primarily follows a Monday to Friday, first-shift schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional weekend work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
