Job Description
Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking an American Psychological Association (APA) Training Director to work with our team located in The Plains, OH . As the APA Training Director, you will provide leadership and direction for the agency APA internship training program maintaining accreditation, recruiting placements & supervising staff who support psychology student placements, practicums & internships. Training director provides support to HHC training programs and supervision to other staff within the organization. Responsibilities of the APA Training Director include but are not limited to: Provides leadership and direction for the agency's APA Training Program including practicum students and pre-doctoral psychology internship program. Oversees the APA internship training program and develops, maintains, and continually reviews standards of accreditation & assures procedures are consistent with HHC policies and procedures as well as relevant certification standards and/or Ohio law. Serves as liaison with and advocate to colleges and universities to support ongoing psychology student placements, practicums, and internships. Monitor program policy and procedure, developing and implementing procedures that ensure appropriate and consistent administrative and clinical practice monitoring for impact of implicit bias and promoting diversity equity & inclusion within the program Develops and maintains documentation of clinical training for certification and accreditation. Participates in accreditation and certification activities including being familiar with all applicable standards. Develops and maintains policies pertaining to psychology students and clinical training to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, standards, and rules including client rights and service delivery. •Full job description is available upon request or at time of interview• What do we require from our APA Training Director? Eligible to work in the United States Independent licensure to practice psychology and provide clinical supervision of staff delivering mental health outpatient services Education & experience working with families & working across systems of care Awareness of and sensitivity to the cultural diversity of the population served, implicit bias & its impact on care; Commitment to the promotion of social justice and ability to promote diversity equity & inclusion within programs; Ability to work independently, multi-task on multiple initiatives in parallel, & relate to a variety of professionals & caregivers.
