Job Description

The role will be a Director for Middle Office Growth and Transformation The role-holder will partner with Product and Sales teams in leading the growth of the Middle Office business and facilitating the expansion of the wider Fund Accounting business through the development of our shared service capability, especially with respect to our clients evolving requirements for the transaction management and valuation of complex assets. They will develop our capabilities to build an operational platform that meets that meet the needs of our future clients and enable the rapid implementation of new business. Responsibilities will include being the operational lead on all North American RFPs and actively contributing to RFPs in other global regions. The role holder will ensure the cost drivers of the existing Middle Office Operations business are well understood, overseeing plans to reduce the cost of the service and ensuring scalable growth as we acquire new business. The role is expected to be New York or Boston based, co-located with both Middle Office and Fund Accounting product partners and will be an important leadership position for our North American team, providing oversight to our teams in the region and proximity to our expanding US client business. The role holder will be part of Middle Office leadership team and will interact closely with other senior leaders within the operations organization, and multiple stakeholders across Operations, Risk and Controls, Technology, Product, Citi Service and client relationship organization. Excellent communication skills are required as role involves participation in prospective deal/ due diligence processes (supporting Product/Sales partners), and daily client interactions/escalations.
  • Responsibilities:
  • + Day-to-day leadership, management & support of Lead Trade Capture, valuation, implementation and prod dev teams to create an integrated complex assets team that serves the needs of our Middle Office and Fund Accounting businesses + Coordination, execution and reporting of initiatives to understand and track cost drivers, evaluate client profitability and lead plans to increase scale across the team + Provide regional oversight for our NAM operational teams and clients + Ops lead for onboarding / implementation•leading MO Ops engagement with Product, Sales, Finance, and Implementation teams from initial pitch through to go-live and then subsequent optimisation.
+ Capacity management and dynamic prioritization of resources in region and in cooperation with global leads + Pro-active risk management and cooperation with necessary stakeholders to minimize operational & project risk and adherence to all Citi policies. + Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Citi policies.
  • Qualifications/requirements:
  • + 10+ years of experience in a Middle Office or Investment Operations senior role + 10+ years of people management experience as manager of managers (or significant size teams) + Stakeholder management skills, ability to build long-term relationships + Deep knowledge of complex assets (OTC and Listed derivatives, Swaps, TBAs loans), including lifecycle management, valuation and market infrastructure.
+ Track record of delivering process standardization and efficiency + Continuous improvement and transformation mindset, leveraging data to identify opportunities and create solutions. + Experience of working on complex projects, leveraging agile project execution and rapid development to deliver quick to market, client focused solutions to realise quantifiable commercial and operational objectives. + Excellent communication skills (oral & written), executive presence + Experience in direct, senior level, client and vendor engagement
