This position will work closely with the Assistant Controller and report directly to the Senior Analyst, assisting with daily bank reconciliations, month-end reporting and analysis, budget and forecast planning, and year-end reporting requirements.
DAY IN THE LIFE
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting for Tax and Corporate Accounting Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, explaining budget and forecast variances and identifying trends and key performance drivers Perform detailed general ledger, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance Collaborate with Field Operations and management to investigate expense variances and provide actionable financial insights Assist with budgeting, forecasting, SOX control testing, ad hoc reporting, and special projects as needed Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while adhering to company policies and procedures
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required 2-4 years of experience in accounting preferred Proven income statement analysis skills to support monthly close Prior oil and gas experience preferred Experience with a major ERP System (SAP preferred).
