Analyst, Rates and Forecasting Clinton, CT, United States | req1095 Posted on: 4/24/2026 We have an opening in our Accounting and Finance department for an Analyst, Rates and Forecasting. Job Description Under the direction of the VP, Head of Rates, Regulatory, FP&A, Asst Treasurer, the Analyst, Rates and Forecasting supports regulatory, rate, and financial planning activities by monitoring regulatory filings, maintaining compliance calendars as well as preparing data, analysis, and documentation used in regulatory filings, forecasts, and internal reporting. The Analyst works closely with the Finance and Accounting teams to provide timely, accurate, and well-documented information to support regulatory proceedings and the development and delivery of the company's financial plan. As a member of the rates and regulatory team, the Analyst partners with colleagues across the organization to gather and validate data, perform analysis, and support business needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to learn the regulatory process, and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
The Analyst, Rate & Forecasting:
  • Manage Ontrak tool to maintain compliance with regulatory orders and filing requirements.
  • Works across the organization to gather required information in support of regulatory compliance and applications
  • Assists with preparation and organization of schedules, workpapers, and documentation that support the company's financials and regulatory filings.
  • Performs financial analysis and basic modeling to support department initiatives and ad hoc requests, including coordination with parent or affiliate teams when activities impact multiple state operations.
  • Supports activities related to the annual financial plan, long term debt and treasury proceedings as well as merger commitment compliance.
  • Monitors regulatory dockets and proceedings and summarizes updates and potential impacts for the department.
  • Maintains confidentiality and follows policies and regulations related to sensitive financial and regulatory information; performs other duties or special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; or alternatively at least 3 years of experience in a regulated utility environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience with financial modeling and large data sets preferred
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize findings and document workpapers
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate inputs across departments Compensation Type Hourly Wage Compensation Range Grade 6
