Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an Animal Caretaker, where your passion for animals and commitment to their well-being will shine. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate care and support to a group of Bernese Mountain dogs and a Ragdoll Cat, ensuring they are healthy, happy, and comfortable. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a safe and nurturing environment for our furry family members. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our pets while developing valuable skills in animal handling, and animal care Responsibilities Feed, water, medicate, walk, groom and monitor dogs and the cat to ensure their health and safety throughout your shift Assist with daily cleaning and sanitation of animal environment, and supplies, and common areas Handle animals gently and confidently during routine procedures such as grooming, feeding, or walking Provide all services for the animals, ensuring their needs are met with kindness and professionalism Maintain accurate records of animal behavior, health status, and treatment notes Communicate effectively with Dr B and team members to relay important information about animal care needs Requirements Prior experience in dog training/handling , pet grooming, or veterinary assistance is highly desirable Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus Demonstrated ability to handle animals safely using proper handling Physical stamina for heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large animals or supplies) Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols in animal care Passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive attitude to ensure optimal care Join us in creating a caring environment where our furry family members can thrive.
