Animal Operations Support Technician

Overview The Small Animal Operations Support Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness within the Small Animal Operations department. This role supports animal care operations through sanitation, supply handling, and light logistics, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of live animals and related materials across the facility. Duties

• Transport animals, supplies, and materials between buildings using a company vehicle
• Prepare and stage boxes for live animal pickup and outbound shipment (e.g., FedEx)
• Receive, inspect, and properly store animal feed and related supplies in designated areas
• Maintain sanitation standards, including filling foot baths and flushing/draining assigned rooms
• Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks, including dusting, swiffering walls and ceilings, and sanitizing animal rooms
• Check and maintain bottles in each room to ensure proper levels and functionality
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout operational and storage areas
• Organize and clean storage and back areas, including moving and sweeping under pallets
• Support daily operational readiness to ensure safe and compliant handling of live animals
• Minor facility repairs

• Ability to follow sanitation, biosecurity, and handling protocols in a live animal environment
• Strong attention to detail, especially related to cleanliness and organization
• Ability to manage routine tasks efficiently in a fast-paced operational setting
• Basic problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and handle materials
