Immediately Job Description Waterville Elementary School is seeking an enthusiastic, open-minded teacher with a growth mindset to join our team of dedicated teachers. The ideal candidate will be a strong, collaborative team member who is committed to continuing to work on their teaching practice through professional development. Candidates should have strong skills as a general music teacher for elementary grades as well as experience teaching band and providing small group instrumental instruction. The teacher will be expected to nurture understanding and appreciation of music and how it can enhance student performance in a variety of areas. The teacher will present student performances for community events and participate in music festivals and other professional activities. Essential job responsibilities include:

• teaching PK-6 general music
• teaching upper level band, instrument lessons and chorus
• production of two family/caregiver-forward performances each year
• Shared organization and facilitation of monthly whole-school gatherings
• engagement in periodic schoolwide celebrations (i.e. Memorial Day)
• Working knowledge of PBIS is strongly preferred If desired, consideration will be given to combining this anticipated opening with the anticipated .

6 FTE music position at Eden Central School to create a full-time position within the district. LNSU provides a generous compensation and benefit package and is an EOE.
