ANTICIPATED
Culinary Arts Instructor Attleboro Technical Institute This is a part-time position for an adult evening program•we need dynamic individuals to join our team!
The Team & Learning Environment:
The instructor will be part of an expanding evening school program, using both teaching and industry experience to instruct adult learners to develop the technical skills they need to be competitive in the workforce. The program is overseen by the Director of Career and Technical Education and the ATI Program Supervisor to ensure compliance with the Career and Technical Initiative Grant expectations. Evaluation performed by ATI Program Supervisor Eligible applicants must possess a Chapter 74 license from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Candidates must also have demonstrable evidence on successfully running daytime classes including student management, innovation, enrollment, and employability success.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the development and delivery of instruction in accordance with departmental curriculum objectives and the MA CVTE Curriculum Frameworks and in alignment with the Career and Technical Inititiave grant requirements. 2. Training adult learners for new careers. 3. Establishing and maintaining a professional classroom/shop environment, with an emphasis on shop safety, strong work ethic, and mastery of skills. 6. Support the Director of CTE and the ATI Program Manager in recommending program improvement, equipment & supply purchases, and industry recognized credentialing.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. MA DESE Chapter 74 teaching license 2. Curriculum development experience and knowledge of integration of technical competencies from curriculum frameworks. 3. Five years of recent (within the last seven years), full-time employment experience directly related to their field and/or teaching experience. 4. Competency in the use of computer applications and instructional technology to aid in the interactive delivery of instruction. 5. Ability to work afternoons/ evenings to instruct underemployed/ unemployed adults. Hours / days of instruction: 3 days per week for 12+•weeks. Hours from 3-7:00pm plus one hour paid prep $90 per hour maximum 200 hours per semester.
